The Washington and Baltimore baseball franchises are enjoying early season success. The Battle of the Beltway this weekend is showcasing two of the league's top teams, for the first time, well, ever. It also means Baltimore fans are invading Nats Park, bringing their own unique version of the national anthem with them. Via Sarah Kogod of the Washington Post:
"It's a great little rivalry," Johnson told MASN. "It never was much of a rivalry because the Orioles used to do a little whopping up on people over here. But right now, I think we're evenly matched ballclubs, pretty good young clubs. So I'm excited about it, and hopefully the fans around will be excited about it.
"I hope I don't hear, during the National Anthem, the ‘Ohs!' too loud. But I'm sure I probably will."
Davey, I'm with you on this, though you mentioning it probably just means more "Ohs" than usual during the weekend's renditions of the anthem.
