2012 ACC Baseball Tournament: Georgia Tech Punches Ticket To NCAA's With 8-5 Win Over Miami

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets punched their ticket to the NCAA Tournament with a 8-5 over the Miami Hurricanes at the 2012 ACC Baseball Championship game Sunday afternoon.

The Jackets scored four runs in the top of the first and never gave up the lead. It was a complete team effort with six of the nine Georgia Tech batters recording at least two hits. Zane Evans knocked in a team-high three RBI's.

Miami starter Javi Salas was knocked out after just 1.1 innings where he gave up four earned runs.

Georgia Tech pitchers also did their part, holding the Hurricanes to just five hits over the game. Jarrett Didrick was a key contributor out of the bullpen, pitching the last four innings for the Yellow Jackets to pick up his sixth save of the season and bring home the championship.
