2012 Kentucky Derby Winner: I'll Have Another Steals Win From Favorite Bodemeister

I'll Have Another has won the 138th running of the Kentucky Derby. Coming into the race favored at 12-1 odds, I'll Have Another managed to battle up from the 19th starting position to beat out heavy favorite, Bodemeister in the final 300 yards of the race.

Prior to I'll Have Another's dramatic come from behind, Bodemeister was sprinting head-to-head with Trinniberg, arguably the best sprinter in the race. With the favorites being Bodemesiter at 6-1 odds and Union Rags at 9-2 odds, few pointed to I'll Have Another as a possible winner.

Despite this, I'll Have Another reached down deep and played the underdog card to capture the win. It's things like these that endear fans to a winner. I'll have Another has one the first leg of the triple-crown series.
