Nationals Vs. Yankees: East Division Leaders Face Off

Two of the best teams in baseball square off in D.C. this weekend.

The Washington Nationals welcome the New York Yankees to the nation's capital for a three-game seres between National League East and American League East leaders. The Yankees (37-25) have a half-game lead over the Orioles in their division, while the Nationals (38-23) are 4.5 games ahed of the second-place Mets.

Gio Gonzalez (8-2, 2.35 ERA) will take the mound for Washington, while Phil Hughes (6-5, 4.76 ERA) gets the start for New York. Gonzalez is 6-1 in his last seven starts, but he's 1-4 with a 7.27 ERA in six career starts against the Yankees. After a rough start to the yearTw, Phil Hughes is 5-1 with a 3.50 ERA in his last seven starts.

Both teams are on six-game winning streaks.

The game is scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m., and it will be televised on MASN.
