D.C. United Vs. New York Red Bulls Final: Black-and-Red Fall 3-2 At Red Bull Arena

Chris Pontius scored two goals for D.C. United on Saturday night against the New York Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena, but it wouldn't be enough as the Black-and-Red fell, 3-2.

After getting just three shots on goal in the first half, DCU was much more aggressive in the second half as they finished with 14 shots on goal in the match. They also controlled the ball much better after New York dominated in that area for much of the first half of play.

Pontius scored in the first 28 seconds of the match and for a second time in the 66th minute, but the deciding goal came from the Red Bulls midfielder Jan Gunnar Solli who scored in the 55th minute of the match.

The loss is DCU's first in their last five matches.
