2012 has been a rough year for Andy Roddick and his struggles continued as he was eliminated by Spain's David Ferrer on Saturday, 2-6, 7-6, 6-4 and 6-3. Roddick has finished as a runner-up at Wimbledon three times and the last time he won a Grand Slam title was in 2003 at the U.S. Open.
Roddick had won seven consecutive matches prior to his match with Ferrer.
Injuries have hampered the 29-year-old as a hamstring forced him to out of the second round of the Australian Open and he lost in the first round of French Open as well.
Roddick does plan on competing in the 2012 Olympic Games later this summer which will place him right back at the All England Club.
