French Open Results: Monday Wins Send Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal To Quarterfinals

Andy Murray overcame a scare in his first set against Richard Gasquet. Murray lost the first set thanks in part to 12 unforced errors. He quickly put that behind him to storm back for a 1-6, 6-4, 6-1, 6-2, win in the fourth round of the French Open on Thursday. Murray, No. 4, advances to the quarterfinals, with a match against No. 6 David Ferrer.

Rafael Nadal cruised past Juan Monaco to advance to the quarterfinals as well. Nadal will face his fellow Spaniard Nicolas Amalgro in the next round.

In other results from the men's side, No. 5 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga squeaked by No. 18 Stanislas Wawrinka. Juan Martin del Potro beat Tomas Berdych, and Nicolas Almagro won as well.

The quarterfinals start on Tuesday from Roland Garros. No. 1 Novak Djokovic will take on Tsonga, and No. 3 Roger Federer will play Juan Martin del Potro.
