2012 British Open: TV Coverage, Streaming, Live Updates And More

The second round of the 2012 British Open gets underway in the middle of the night on Friday, with nearly ten hours of tee times at Royal Lytham & St. Annes. The first group off will start at 1:30 a.m. in the East. Unlike the USGA, the R&A sends every group off the first tee during one of the longest days in in golf -- taking full advantage of the extended daylight.

While the middle-of-the-night tee times are not ideal for television, ESPN will provide wall-to-wall coverage for Friday's action. They come on the air at 4:30 a.m. ET and will broadcast live until 3 p.m. ET. They will then put on a highlights show from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET with another "Best Of" show from 7 p.m. to 10p.m. ET. ESPN3 will provide live streaming to mirror the television coverage, with an additional stream featuring holes 9 through 11 going live at 4 a.m. ET.

TheOpen.com will also provide online coverage via livestream.com, scheduled to come on the air at 5 a.m. ET.
