Greenbrier Classic 2012: Charlie Beljan Uses Second Round Surge To Gain Lead Through 14 Holes

A name that fans are not that familiar with has surged to earn the lead at the Greenbrier Classic at The Old White TPC in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. Charlie Beljan has flown up the leaderboard, shooting eight-under through 14 holes to pass Vijay Singh and Jonathan Byrd.

Beljan shot an even par 70 in the first round and was tied for 60th in the standings. He has used eight birdies, including six in eight holes to springboard up the standings. Byrd, after shooting a six-under 64 in the first round, has shot one-under through 16 holes in the second round.

Singh is set to tee off at 1 p.m. this afternoon and Tiger Woods, who shot a one-over 71 in the first round is set to tee off at 1:20 p.m.
