London 2012 Olympics Medal Count: Team USA In 2nd With 29 Medals

After five days of competition China has just barely pulled away from the United States in the medal count, as the U.S. has fallen just one total medal shy in the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Nathan Adrian won the U.S. gold in a thrilling 100m freestyle, while the U.S. women's 4x200 freestyle relay team set an Olympic ras America won 18th medal in swimming.

The U.S. Women's rowing team also took home a bronze medal on Wednesday in the quadruple sculls while Danell Leyva took home a bronze medal in the men's all-around gymnastics.
