The U.S. Men's Basketball Team easily advanced to the Gold Medal Game in the tournament at the 2012 Summer Olympics, defeating Argentina 109-83 Friday afternoon.
The United States shot a blistering 64 percent from the field while also posting a three-point percentage of 43 percent.
Argentina was able to keep the game close in the first half, as they trailed just 47-40 at the half, however a red-hot third quarter gave the U.S. the victory.
The U.S. offensive assault was led by Kevin Durant who scored a game-high 19 points in just 27 minutes of play. LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony chimed in with 18 points each. Kobe Bryant scored 13 while Chris Paul contributed 10 to round out the offensive leaders.
The U.S. now faces Spain for the gold medal on Sunday.
