London 2012 Olympics: Team USA Women's Basketball Wins Fifth Straight Gold

London 2012 is coming to an end and many athletes will be coming back home to their countries with big smiles on their faces, including the U.S. women's basketball team. Team USA on their fifth straight gold medal on Saturday, beating France 86-50, and became only the third team in both men's and women's sports, to win five consecutive gold medals. WNBA star Candace Parker came off the bench and scored a team-high 21 points in the blowout.

Other highlights from Saturday's action include Jamaica's 4x100m gold medal performance. Led by Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake, the Jamaican sprint crew ran their way to a world record time of 36.84 seconds. Team USA took home the silver medal with an impressive time of 37.04.

The last standout performance on Saturday came from Team USA's women's 4x400m team. DeeDee Trotter, Allyson Felix, Francena McCorory, and Sanya Richards-Ross ran a gold medal time of 3:16.87, edging out Russia and Jamaica.
