It isn't often in a major where the back nine is nothing more than a victory lap.

However that was the case on Sunday, when Rory McIlroy completed his total domination of the competition. The youngster won by eight strokes with a 13-under at the 94th PGA Championship at the Ocean Course on Kiawah Island. The margin of victory set a record for the event, as McIlroy claimed his second career major and now vaults himself to the top of golf.

David Lynn finished a distant second at 5-under, with Keegan Bradley, Justin Rose, Ian Poulter and Carl Pettersson all tying for third at 4-under.

Tiger Woods was tied for the lead headed into the weekend, but melted down the stretch. Woods ended his tournament tied for 11th along with Master champion Bubba Watson.

Phil Mickelson was never in serious contention, and ended his time in South Carolina with a 3-over, tied for 36th place.
