Nationals Vs. Giants: Stephen Strasburg and Tim Lincecum To Face Off Wednesday

Pitchers' duels have always been an exciting aspect of baseball and on Wednesday night at AT&T Park in San Francisco, two of Major League Baseball's best hurlers will do battle, as the Washington Nationals will send Stephen Strasburg to the mound to face off against the San Francisco Giants ace, Tim Lincecum.

Strasburg has pitched well so far this season as he enters the game with a 13-5 record and an ERA of 2.90. The Nats righty leads the National League with an average of 11.21 strikeouts per nine innings.

Wednesday night's game could also be the last time fans will get a chance to see Strasburg during the regular season, as the Nationals brass have said they will shut their young pitcher down at some point during the season as a precaution after the 24-year-old underwent Tommy John surgery in 2010.

First pitch of Wednesday night's game takes place at 3:45 p.m. ET.
