Leonard Hankerson Back At Practice For Washington Redskins

Washington Redskins wide receiver Leonard Hankerson had a bit of a scare on Tuesday during training camp, when he left practice with a heat illness. Both Hankerson and fellow wideout Josh Morgan were affected by the temperatures in what was the final public practice at Redskins Park. With camp breaking, the Skins are back at it on Wednesday, and Hankerson is back in action as well, Zac Boyer of the Fredricksburg Free Lance-Starreports.

Mike Shanahan and the Washington coaching staff were hoping Hankerson would step up and take on a bigger role as one of the team's featured pass-catchers. Rookie quarterbackRobert Griffin III looked to be well on his way to establishing chemistry with new receiverPierre Garcon last week. In limited work, Hankerson had one catch for 12 yards against the Bills last Thursday.
