Virginia Football Recruiting: Taquan Mizzell Commits To Cavaliers Over West Virginia

Taquan Mizzell, an all-purpose running back out of Bayside High School in Virginia Beach, committed to the University of Virginia on Tuesday.

Standing at 5-foot-10, 178 pounds, Mizzell is rated as a five-star recruit by Yahoo!'s Rivals.com and will be the 18th commit in the Cavaliers 2013 recruiting class. In addition to Virginia, Mizzell was also fielding interest from Clemson, North Carolina, Notre Dame and West Virginia.

Here is what SB Nation's College Recruiting Editor, Bud Elliot had to say about what the running back will bring to the team:

Virginia fans missing Perry Jones will quickly find his replacement in Mizell, who has excellent moves and the ability to catch the football out of the backfield. Mizzell won't be a feature back because of size, but he could definitely handle 10 carries and five or more touches per game, early on.
