William & Mary Vs. Maryland: Keith Bowers, Brandon Ross Out For Opener

University of Maryland tailback Brandon Ross will miss Saturday's opener against William & Mary due to a hamstring injury. Freshman Albert Reid will replace Ross as the starter with Justus Pickett and Wes Brown expected to act as reserves, according to head coach Randy Edsall.

Via The Washington Times:

"All three guys are going to play," Edsall said. "We have roles for the guys. Albert will start, Justus has his role and Wes will be ready to go as well."

In addition, defensive end Keith Bowers will not be playing, which was expected considering he was declared doubtful earlier in the week. According to Edsall, his staff has informed him that Bowers should be ready for the team's second game against Temple on Sept. 9.

Other players that have already been ruled out include:

- Nick Ferrara (hip)
- Josh Cary (knee)
- Isaac Goins (illness)
- A.J. Hendy (ankle)
- Abner Logan (thigh)
- Andre Monroe (knee)
- Matt Robinson (shoulder)
- Isaiah Ross (hamstring)
- Kenny Tate (knee)
