2012 London Olympics: Cyclist Bobby Lea, Sailor Farrah Hall Among Local Athletes In Action Sunday

Two athletes with ties to the DC metro area are in action on Sunday morning at the 2012 London Olympic Games, in sports that do not receive nearly the attention of fan favorites gymnastics or track and field.

Cyclist Bobby Lea, born in Easton, Maryland, finished 11th in Sunday morning's 4km Individual Pursuit, and is currently ranked ninth overall in the Men's Omnium, a new Olympic multi-discipline event. Lea has two more events on Sunday, the 15km scratch race at 12:01 p.m. EST and the 1km time trial at 1:16 p.m. EST.

Farrah Hall of Annapolis, Maryland hit the water on Sunday in the women's RS-X event, competing in two races. She finished in 16th place in both her 7:00 a.m. and 7:50 a.m. races, placing her 20th overall leading into Tuesday's medal race.
