The luck of the Irish has been with Notre Dame in Dublin, Ireland, as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish lead the Navy Midshipmen 27-3 at halftime.
Notre Dame has been powered by an excellent running game, with 158 rushing yards on just 20 carries, good for 7.8 yards per carry. Theo Reddick has a team-high 14 carries for 84 yards and a touchdown, while George Atkinson III has added 75 yards of his own on just four carries.
Notre Dame quarterback Everett Golson, filling in for suspended quarterback Tommy Rees, is 6-of-10 passing for 74 yards, with a touchdown and an interception each to his name.
Navy's rushing game has been stifled by Notre Dame's defense, as the Midshipmen have gained just 84 yards on 25 carries. Quarterback Trey Miller, at the helm of Navy's option offense, leads the team with 15 carries, but has gained just 18 yards.
Miller, though, is 10-of-12 passing for 113 yards.
Notre Dame's defense has forced two turnovers -- both fumbles. Stephon Tuitt picked up a Trey Miller fumble and returned it 77 yards for a Notre Dame touchdown, giving Norte Dame a commanding 27-0 lead late in the second quarter.
Nick Sloan added a field goal for Navy as time expired in the first half.
