William & Mary vs. Maryland Final: Terps Grab Late Victory, 7-6

It was a serious battle, but Maryland has done it - the Terps have defeated William & Mary in their opening game of the season, by a final score of 7-6.

A ten play, 69-yard drive to start out the fourth quarter finally put Maryland on the board. Perry Hills had two big completions - one to Stefon Diggs and one to Kevin Dorsey, and had an eight-yard run that set up the eventual score: a six-yard Justus Pickett run from a QB read.

Maryland's defensive did their part, holding the Tribe to 60 yards of total offense in the quarter, culminating with a fourth down sack of Raphael Ortize by Jeremiah Johnson with a minute and a half left to seal the game. Ortiz fumbled the ball, and Demetrius Hartsfield recovered, bring the ball back to the six yard line. Perry Hills kneeled the Terps out, and Maryland won 7-6.

We'll have a full recap up with stats and reactions after the post-game presser.
