The Navy Midshipmen and Penn State Nittany Lions play on Saturday afternoon in Beaver Stadium.
The Midshipmen are coming off of an embarrassing loss to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 50-10, two weeks ago in Dublin, Ireland. Navy was humbled on defense, allowing 490 yards to the Fighting Irish offense, including a whopping 293 on the ground.
One of the positives that came out of the loss was junior quarterback Trey Miller's performance. Miller completed 14-of-19 passes for 192 yards including a touchdown.
Winless Penn State is attempting to rebound from one of its most frustrating losses in recent memory. The Nittany Lions had every opportunity to beat the Virginia Cavaliers on the road, but ultimately lost 17-16.
The toughest part was the effort of kicker Sam Ficken, who missed an extra point and four field goals. The last miss came on an attempted game-winner of 42 yards.
New head coach Bill O'Brien is still searching for his first win.
