The Virginia Tech Hokies have fallen out of the Coaches Poll Top 25 in the Week 4 college football rankings. The Hokies had been No. 13 before dropping out following their loss to the Pittsburgh Panthers on Saturday. Virginia Tech also fell out of the AP Top 25 on Sunday.

The Hokies could move back into the Top 25 with a win over Bowling Green this week, as they are just outside the rankings and had the most votes in the "receiving votes" section.

With Virginia Tech falling out, two ACC teams remain in the poll. Florida State checks in at No. 4, with Clemson at No. 9.

Alabama remained on top for another week, after a 52-0 shellacking of the Arkansas Razorbacks. There was some shakeup at the top, with Oregon moving to No. 3 after USC fell in their Pac-12 opener to Stanford. The Cardinal rose to No. 11, while the Trojans dropped to No. 12.
