Washington Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo will miss the remainder of the 2012 season due to a tear in his left pectoral muscle, according to head coach Mike Shanahan. The tear is in a different spot than the injury he sustained last season and the recovery time is expected to take around four months.
Shanny said Rob Jackson doesn't necessarily inherit Brian Orakpo's OLB job. Chris Wilson will compete for playing time there.

Orakpo injured his left pectoral muscle in the final game of last season while sacking Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Mike Vick and required surgery to repair the injury. Although this injury is in a different area of the muscle, it too will require surgery, which is expected to occur later this week.
