After losing to Pittsburgh this past weekend, Virginia Tech has dropped out of the national rankings.They'll look to bounce back on Saturday when they host the Bowling Green Falcons. The game is scheduled for noon ET on Saturday. ESPNU will be showing the game, and it will also be streamed on WatchESPN.
The Hokies enter the game with the nation's 54th-ranked passing offense, while the Falcons sit just behind them at No. 55. Both teams have been averaging about the same amount of yards on the ground as well, with Virginia Tech's 114-yards per game being slightly better than Bowling Green's 109.
Freshman Michael Holmes has led the Hokies' rushing attack, with his 100 yards on 31 carries averaging 3.2 yards per carry. Logan Thomas has been leading the VT passing attack, with 707 yards on 50-for-92 passing. His favorite targets thus far have been Marcus Davis and Corey Fuller.
Bowling Green has been led on the ground by Anthon Samuel. Samuel is averaging over fiver yards per carry and has four rushing touchdowns through the Falcons first three games.
Oddsmakers have Virginia Tech favored by 19.5 in this one, with the over/under being set at 48 points.
