The Navy Midshipmen will host FCS school VMI on Saturday afternoon hoping to end their worst start to a season since 2005. Quarterback Trey Miller has struggled against both Notre Dame and Penn State this season, throwing for only 209 yards with a pair of interceptions, and averaging under a yard per carry on the ground.
Navy has been somewhat successful on the ground as a team, averaging 197 yards of rushing per game. That total is good for 42nd in the NCAA at the moment. Gee Gee Greene is leading the Navy triple option attack with 103 total yards on 11 carries through the first two games. He's the only Navy runner who's reached 100 yards on the ground this season.
VMI's offense is led by quarterback Eric Kordenbrock, who has competed 59.8% of his passes for 646 yards and two touchdowns. David Turner and Jabari Turner will split time in the backfield for the Keydets.
Oddsmakers have not set a line for this one, but feel free to check out the favorites and underdogs in the games in which they have.
Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET from Annapolis. The game will be televised on the CBS Sports Network.
