VMI Vs. Navy: Midshipmen Roll Over Keydets In Annapolis, 41-3

The Navy Midshipmen, 0-2 entering Saturday's contest, had no trouble with the VMI Keydets of the FCS, winning 41-3 on Saturday afternoon in Annapolis, MD. VMI actually led the game 3-0 before allowing 41 unanswered points.

Navy quarterback Trey Miller was the star of the game, rushing 17 times for 116 yards and three touchdowns out of the Midshipmen triple-option attack. Miller also completed seven of 14 passes in the game for 107 yards.

Running back Noah Copeland added 126 yards on 20 carries, with Navy rushing for 403 yards total on 51 carries as a team. The Midshipmen amassed 510 yards of total offense to just 222 for the Keydets.

Navy is now 9-0 all-time against VMI in a series that dates back to 1898.

Navy will host the San Jose State Spartans next Saturday at Navy Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET.
