Bradley Beal, Batman, and the mind of an SB Nation editor

Bradley Beal would change his name to Batman if he could. Naturally, two Wizards bloggers set about renaming the team.

So, here's the story behind this entry.

Casey Phillips, who does videos for the Wizards website, tweeted this late Tuesday afternoon.

Two things. First, didn't all boys (and no doubt some girls) between the ages of, say, six and nine want to change their name to Batman at some point?

Second, it's a little-known fact that Bullets Forever blogrunners Mike Prada (formerly Senior Editor of this parish) and Jake Whitacre love discussing which superheroes (or villains) have attributes that fit various Wizards. Either that, or we're all just a little bit punchy after sweating out this redesign for the better part of the past two days.

Most of their exchange is here, and is worth a read (seriously, the words "Seraphin is Superman, obviously" were written for the only time in human history), and you might as well give your input while you're there.

On a side note, Wizards training camp opens next week! That's right, the NBA's almost back! Hey, remember when they were the league with a referee problem? What quaint days those were.
