While nearly half of the ACC readies for conference battles in college football's fifth week, both the Virginia Tech Hokies and Virginia Cavaliers will be tested against non-conference foes in Week 5.
The Hokies will take on the Cincinnati Bearcats at Landover's FedEx Field. The Bearcats have started 2-0 in 2012, with an opening-week victory over the Pittsburgh Panthers giving Cincinnati a 1-0 start to their Big East schedule, good enough to be in first place in the conference thus far.
The Cavaliers will show down with the surprisingly undefeated Louisiana Tech Bulldogs, who have started their season with impressive victories over the Houston Cougars, Rice Owls and Illinois Fighting Illini after their first game of the season against Texas A&M was postponed.
After starting their season 2-0, the Cavaliers have dropped their last two games, as the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and TCU Horned Frogs got the best of them in consecutive weeks.
