2012 NFL schedule Week 4: Redskins' showdown with Tampa Bay highlights afternoon slate

Robert Griffin III and the Redskins look to put up enough points against the Buccaneers defense.

Dale Zanine-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

After a tough loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 3, the Washington Redskins will look to return to .500 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a late-Sunday afternoon showdown at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla.

Rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III and the Redskins were unable to stop Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton in a high-scoring affair last weekend, but will need to step up their offensive production against the tough Buccaneer offensive attack.

On the season, Griffin has 747 yards and four passing touchdowns to go along with three rushing scores, while Alfred Morris's 263 yards is a Redskins best.

The Buccaneers, in the midst of a trip through the NFC East teams, are 1-2 on the season after dropping back-to-back games against the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys.

Here are the rest of the key NFC East matchups this weekend:

New York Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles, Sept. 30, 8:20 p.m., NBC

Chicago Bears vs. Dallas Cowboys, Oct. 1, 8:30 p.m., ESPN
