The Georgetown Hoyas were able to bring another recruit into the fold on Wednesday, with Reggie Cameron making a commitment.
Cameron is a 6'7 small forward out of Hudson Catholic High Scholl (NJ) who adds some size and versatility to an already strong team. The incoming freshman feels like Georgetown is the right fit for him after checking it out for himself, according to zagsblog.com.
"I’ve committed to Georgetown," he told SNY.tv Wednesday. "I loved the campus and the area of D.C. it’s in. The coaching staff did a great job recruiting me and I could really see myself playing there and having a great career."
Cameron thought about a bevy of schools before choosing to become a Hoya, including UConn, North Carolina State and Miami (FL). Known as a terrific shooter more than anything else, Cameron should be a nice fit.
"We expect great things out of Reg. He’s been a true Playa for his entire life and like most other decisions he’s made, this is a great one," said Playaz coach Jimmy Salmon. "He has the ability to stretch the defense and he’s a better rebounder than people give him credit for."
