The Virginia Cavaliers will host the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs out of the WAC on Saturday afternoon. UVA will be looking to end a two-game losing streak before they dive into ACC play for the rest of the year.
The Cavaliers have been blown out in their last two games, a 56-20 loss to Georgia Tech and a 27-7 loss to TCU. Virginia is now 2-2 on the season after opening the year with wins over Richmond and Penn State. Senior linebacker Steve Greer has been a bright spot, leading the team with 31 tackles and two sacks.
Louisiana Tech will provide a tough challenge, as they have already knocked off one major-conference opponent this season. The Bulldogs defeated Illinois last week in convincing fashion, 52-24. La. Tech is still undefeated on the year with a 3-0 record. They feature a high-powered offense averaging 54.7 points per game.
This will be the first time the two schools meet in football.
Game time, TV channel: 3:30 p.m. ET, ESPN3
