Georgia Tech Vs. Virginia Tech Score Update: Hokies Lead 7-0 After 1 Quarter

The Virginia Tech Hokies lead the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 7-0, at the end of one quarter in Blacksburg, VA.

The Hokies started the game with a promising six-play drive, before eventually stalling on the Georgia Tech 42-yard line. After forcing a Yellow Jacket three-and-out, Virginia Tech mounted a successful drive -- a 12-play, 56-yard possession finishing with a Logan Thomas touchdown pass to senior tight end Eric Martin.

The Georgia Tech special teams unit set the offense up with good field position just before the quarter's end. With the Hokies punting on their own 46, the punter botched the snap, losing 22 yards on the play and setting up the Yellow Jackets with a first-and-ten on the Virginia Tech 24-yard line.

Virginia Tech quarterback Logan Thomas is 5-for-11 for 39 yards passing with one touchdown. He's also added 39 rushing yards on six carries.
