Louisiana Tech vs. Virginia 2012: Streaking the Lawn reacts

Louisiana Tech came from behind to beat UVA 44-38, much to the chagrin of SB Nation's Virginia community.

Despite an early 14-3 lead over the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs, the Virginia Cavaliers fell to the WAC foe at home, 44-38. LA Tech used a big third quarter, in which they scored 21 unanswered points, to cement their lead and the victory.

Streaking the Lawn, SB Nation's Virginia Cavaliers community, lamented the Hoos shortcomings:

The wide receivers did their quarterback no favors. ... far too many dropped passes and lazy routes. ... Special teams continues to be a major issue, especially on both sides of the kicking game. The coaching staff seems to be behind on adjustments to the new rules, where kickoffs are launched from the 35 instead of the 30 and touchbacks come out to the 25 instead of the 20.

Also a major source of contention regarding this coaching staff was the issue of discipline – or the perceived lack thereof:

The lack of discipline that led to 14 penalties for 135 yards has to change. Four of these were 15-yard personal fouls. There's not much more to say about this that hasn't already been said. I'm sure the coaching staff has made addressing this issue top priority, but it hasn't seemed to sink in just yet.

Next week, Virginia faces Duke in Durham.
