On Wednesday evening, the Navy Midshipmen will take on the Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
The two teams met earlier in the season for a non-conference game, with Navy winning a squeaker, 54-49. In that game on Nov. 28, freshman Kendall Knorr scored 15 points to lead the military men past IPFW.
Navy (6-8) has had an uneven start to the 2012-13 campaign and is coming off two straight losses to the Albany Great Danes and Northern Kentucky Norse.
Tilman Dunbar has been the Midshipmen's most productive scorer. The freshman leads the team with 11.2 points per game.
IPFW (6-9, 0-2) has already played two conference games in the Summit and lost them both, giving this tilt even more meaning. The Mastodons are trying to snap out of a recent slump that has seen them lose five of their last six, including a game against the Western Illinois Leathernecks.
