NFL Mock Draft 2013: Will the Redskins add a safety with their 1st pick?

What options will be left for Washington in the second round?

Butch Dill

The Washington Redskins don't have a pick in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft after selling the farm for the right to draft Robert Griffin III a year ago.

Thus, in SB Nation's latest mock draft, Washington does not get the slightest mention. Fear not, Skins fans. Adam Stites of Big Cat Country, SB Nation's resident Jaguars blog, recently unveiled a two-round mock draft, giving Redskins fans a pick to argue about.

Stites has Washington addressing the safety position and selecting Eric Reid of LSU. Based on Sites' mock, Reid would be the fourth safety off the board, behind Kenny Vaccaro of Texas, Florida International's Jonathan Cyprien and Florida's Matt Elam.

D.J. Swearinger of South Carolina is another name to keep in mind at the safety position. He's a ball hawk who plays the game with a physical edge. Swearinger has a chance to sneak into the first-round discussion, and can play multiple positions in the secondary.
