D.C. United will attempt to gain their first win of the season Sunday when they visit the defending MLS champion Los Angeles Galaxy at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California. United lost their home opener by a score of 1-0 to Sporting Kansas City last Saturday, and have had a week to prepare for the Galaxy and their star players David Beckham and Landon Donovan.

The Galaxy lost their opening game of this young season as well, falling to Real Salt Lake on Wednesday by a score of 3-1. Edson Buddle put the Galaxy in front in the 71st minute, but a Sean Franklin own goal and tallies by Javier Morales and Fabian Espindola gave Salt Lake the win.

Both teams will be looking for three points in this one, as though it is still early in the season both teams want to get that first one in the win column.
