D.C. United (2-2-3, nine points) welcome the New York Red Bulls (3-2-1, 10 points) to RFK Stadium on Sunday evening, hoping to extend their five match unbeaten streak.
The United underwhelmed in mustering a 1-1 draw with the expansion Montreal Impact mid-week, and will look to right the ship Sunday in a matchup with the long-time rival Red Bulls.
New York is led by superstar Thierry Henry, who has either scored or assisted on all but four of the Red Bulls sixteen goals this season. DCU will be aided defensively in their attempt to slowdown Henry by the return of central back Emiliano Dudar, who missed the last two matches with a hamstring strain.
The winner of Sunday's contest will take over sole possession of second place in the Eastern Conference behind unbeaten Kansas City.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at RFK Stadium, and the game can be seen on ESPN2.
