New York Red Bulls Vs. D.C. United: New York Falls To United, 4-1

With the D.C. United (3-2-3, 12 points) victory over the Red Bulls (3-3-1, 10 points) today, the win vaults DC into second place in the Eastern Conference over New York.

D.C. United Forward Chris Pontius scored a hat-trick in today's match (he scored his third goal at the 69th minute to complete the feat) and Midfielder Nick DeLeon also contributed a goal in the victory. For New York, Red Bulls Captain Thierry Henry scored the lone goal for his team in the 72nd minute, ensuring they wouldn't get shut out in the match.

Next up for the D.C. United will be a match with the Houston Dynamo next Saturday at RFK Stadium and the New York Red Bulls will face the New England Revolution at Red Bull Arena.
