D.C. United vs. Colorado Rapids: United Record Impressive 2-0 Victory Over Colorado

United took advantage of a Colorado Rapids team that didn't look interested, at all, in attacking. United, rarely on defense, stayed on the attack, and added a second goal courtesy of Hamdi Salihi in the 60th minute.

After Dwayne De Rosario's opening goal in the 25 minute, it was all United from then on. Bill Hamid didn't have a lot to do all night, but when he was called upon, he stepped up and cleaned up some sloppy defending. Most notably, Hamid made a one-on-one save on Castrillion inside the six-yard box.

United's defense took a hit in the 57th minute after right back Robbie Russell went down and was replaced by Danny Cruz -- with Andy Najar moving to right back. No updates are available on Russell, but he did walk off under his own power.

United now find themselves tied for second in the Eastern Conference after the win. United sit on 21 points (6-4-3), tied with reeling Kansas City. United will face Toronto FC on Saturday night at 7:30.
