MLS Standings 2012: DC United In 2nd Behind Sporting Kansas City

DC United picked up their second loss in five games Sunday night, losing to Houston Dynamo 4-0. That leaves them with 33 points, good enough to hold on to second place in the Eastern Conference. Sporting Kansas City sits just ahead of them with 36 points, and the New York Red Bulls and Chicago Fire are close behind with 32 and 31 points respectively.

The San Jose Earthquakes remain on top in the Western Conference, holding 40 points and only one loss in their last five games. Real Salt Lake trails San Jose with 36 points, but they have struggled recently and can only claim one win in their last five. The Seattle Sounders sit in third with 31 points. Complete standings for both conferences are available at the MLS website.
