D.C. United Vs. New York Red Bulls: Wilman Conde's Late Strike Salvages 2-2 Draw For New York

Wilman Conde's 88th-minute goal for the New York Red Bulls denied D.C. United a crucial home win Wednesday night at RFK Stadium as the two longtime MLS rivals shared the points in a 2-2 draw.

It appeared that Dwayne De Rosario had given United the win with his 100th career regular season MLS goal, which came on a header in the 68th minute.

The draw temporarily moved D.C. United up one spot to fourth in the MLS Eastern Conference-- level on points with Chicago (41), one point behind third-place Houston (42), five points behind second-place New York (46), and six points behind Kansas City (47).

New York took the lead in the 19th minute on an angled shot by Joel Lindpere from the edge of the penalty area.

But United quickly responded as Nick DeLeon's left-footed volley evened the score at 1-1.
