After an eight-day layoff, the George Mason Patriots (4-2) return to action Wednesday evening against the Bucknell Bison (5-2). Tipoff is set for 7 PM at Patriot Center, with MASN providing television coverage.

George Mason cruised in its most recent outing, a 66-46 victory against the Albany, N.Y. Great Danes on Nov. 22. Ryan Pearson scored 24 points in 31 minutes to lead the Patriots, who limited Albany to 26.2 percent shooting and forced 13 turnovers. Mike Morrison added 13 points and nine boards for George Mason.

The Bison are riding a five-game win streak, which they continued Saturday with their 54-50 victory against the Morehead St. Eagles. In their seven games this season, the Bison have limited their opponents to 56 points or fewer four times, something they've accomplished in each of their last three outing. Against Morehead State, Bryson Johnson led Bucknell with 20 points on 6-of-13 shooting, while Cameron Ayers added 15 points. The six other Bison to play combined for 19 points on 4-of-21 from the field.

The Patriots own a 6-3 lead in the all-time series against Bucknell. However, the Bison came out on top, 60-57, in the previous meeting between the teams, which was held in 2006.
