George Mason Vs. Virginia 2011: Patriots Face Difficult Road Test In Charlottesville

George Mason faces a difficult test when it travels to Charlottesville to take on the 7-1 Virginia Cavaliers.

The George Mason Patriots seemed to have righted the ship after two surprising losses in November, but they'll face their most difficult test of the season on Tuesday when they head into Charlottesville to take on the Virginia Cavaliers. Tip time is scheduled for 7 p.m., and the game will be broadcasted on ESPN3.com.

Virginia is off to a fast start this season, posting a 7-1 record in the early going. That includes a win over then-No. 14 Michigan in the ACC/Big 10 Challenge on November 29. Virginia's only loss is by two points at home to TCU on November 18.

George Mason is 6-2 on the year and has won four in a row, including their CAA opener over Towson over the weekend. The best win in that stretch, though, came at home against Patriot League favorite Bucknell by four points. The Cavaliers will be a much stiffer test.
