George Mason Vs. JMU: After Early Comeback, Mason Dominates Second Half To Win 82-68

After it looked like the second half would be a back and forth affair between George Mason and JMU, the Patriots took their halftime lead and made it stay the rest of the way, winning 82-68.

George Mason simply control in the second half, capitalizing on JMU turnovers and putting the pressure on the Dukes by vast array of offensive weapons. GMU had four different players in double figures, with forward Ryan Pearson leading the way with 14 points. Guard Cam Long also pitched in with 13 points, as Mason was able to smother JMU on both ends the floor. 

With this win, George Mason has extended it's winning streak to 11 games, tied for the longest in school history. They are 21-5 overall and 13-2 in the CAA, good for first place. 

The Patriots may be the regions best college basketball team right now, as they are simply getting win after win in their conference, clearing the way to an easy NCAA tournament bid. 

GMU will have a chance to perhaps set a new school record with 12 straight wins when they take on Virginia Commonwealth University for a huge CAA game that will pit the conference's top two teams against each other.
