VIDEO: George Mason Basketball Affirms They Are Not The Green Bay Packers

↵

"Did you see the game this weekend. Big win for the Green and Gold," begins this George Mason athletics department video, and ... you can see the joke coming from a mile away. Sure enough, the other person responds in kind.

↵

"I was pulling for the Packers because my cousin once visited Green Bay and said it was nice."

↵

It's a bit corny, because George Mason also wears green and gold, and because they like to pump up the idea that nobody knows who they are, even though they have been to more Final Fours in the past five years than Maryland.  But it's kind of funny too.

George Mason may be a fairly big deal locally, but at 19-5, with a top 25 RPI and a nine-game winning streak in a very good league, they probably should be getting a little more love nationally. Getting votes in the AP Top 25 is a good start, but they should have earned more than that. Kudos to the George Mason athletic department for exploiting that feeling in this funny video.

Also, you have to love any locally-produced video that takes a shot at Duke.
