Luke Hancock Says '15-20' Schools Have Asked About Reported Transfer From George Mason Basketball

George Mason basketball forward Luke Hancock has finally spoken publicly about his long-reported interest in transferring. In an interview with Doug Doughty of the Roanoke Times, Hancock said that "15-20" head coaches, including Seth Greenberg at Virginia Tech and Tony Bennett at Virginia, have inquired about him.

Hancock added that he has yet to make up his mind about transferring, saying he will decide after the exam period.

"I don't have a list. It's a lot with exams right now, but I'm handling it. I don't really have a time frame, but my exams and the dead period [for recruiting] have given me some extra time."

George Mason has honored Hancock's request to explore his options for a transfer, so long as he does not go to Miami, where Jim Larranaga now coaches, or any other Colonial Athletic Association school. SB Nation previously reportedthat Michigan was one of the schools that had inquired about Hancock.

Hancock was third on the Patriots in scoring and first in assists as a sophomore last season.
