George Mason basketball did what was expected of them last year upon entering the 2011 NCAA Tournament: they made it to the Round of 32. For this accomplishment, they decided to make rings saying "Final 32" on them. Here's Mike Morrison showing off his.â†µ
Keep in mind that this is a program that made the Final Four just five years ago. Is "Final 32" even that big an accomplishment anymore?â†µ
UPDATE: So this is apparently from two weeks ago, but the point still stands.â†µ
UPDATE: GMU Hoops points out that the ring could have said "CAA Regular-Season Champs" on the other side, which would have made a little more sense. Actually, it sounds like that's what it is.
