Towson Vs. George Mason: Patriots Hope To Continue Winning Ways Against Woeful Tigers

The George Mason Patriots (14-5, 6-1 CAA), winners of seven of their last eight games, welcome the woeful Towson Tigers (0-19, 0-7) to the Patriot Center on Saturday afternoon.

The George Mason Patriots (14-5, 6-1 CAA), winners of seven of their last eight games, welcome the woeful Towson Tigers (0-19, 0-7) to the Patriot Center on Saturday afternoon, and look to avoid being the first victory for a Towson club that has looked painfully overmatched all season long.

Towson has dropped 38 straight games, a Division 1 record. The Tigers have not won a CAA conference game since the 2009-10 regular season finale, and in fact have never defeated George Mason in their 10 years in the league.

George Mason is the best shooting team in the CAA, making 47.5 percent of their field goal attempts, and the Patriots average 71.5 points per game. Towson, on the other hand, is dead last in the conference in both those categories, shooting just 36.5 percent as a team and averaging an abysmal 48.9 points per game.
