George Mason Vs. VCU Game Preview: Patriots Battle For Position

George Mason heads to the Stuart Siegel Center in a battle with VCU for second place in the Colonial Athletic Association.

George Mason and VCU are tied for second place in the Colonial Athletic Association Standings as they're set to face off in the Stuart Siegel Center on Saturday evening. George Mason recently had their five-game winning streak snapped with an overtime loss to Northeastern, which also allowed Drexel to break free of the tie for first place in the CAA. The Patriots hope to rebound from their loss against VCU and try to move back into first place and avoid dropping two games in a row to fall to third in the final game of the regular season.

VCU on the other hand is coming off back-to-back wins and hope to close out the regular season on a three-game winning streak with momentum into the CAA conference tournament. George Mason beat VCU at home back on Valentine's Day 62-61 as the two teams battled back and forth all game. That loss was VCU's only loss in their last 14 games.
