Both the Rhode Island Rams and the George Washington Colonials entered the game on Wednesday looking to get their first conference win of the season. George Washington trailed Rhode Island 31-30 as the game went into halftime, but the Colonials were able to battle back in the second half and pick up the 69-61 victory.
Part of the reason George Washington was able to overcome the Rhode Island lead was the play of Tony Taylor and David Pellom. Pellom was able to finish the night with 17 points, 11 rebounds, and a block while Taylor ended with 18 points and 6 assists. Lasan Kromah's scoring slowed down in the second half, but he was still able to finish the day with a double-double picking up 12 points and 10 rebounds.
